To the Editor-
I just read the “reporting” by Robert Blechl entitled Registers of Deed Candidates Square Off. This was a very one-sided report of the event and I didn’t even see him in attendance. Missing from this “reporting” was fact that my opponent and I had just met minutes before. I had looked for him all summer to introduce myself. Missing was the fact that we got along and agreed on many issues. The words squaring off must sell more papers. Missing was the fact that my opponent openly admitted that he knows nothing about the office. Missing was my explanations for the witch hunt that I have had launched against me by a small core group of people at Grafton County who have a lot to hide.
I stated that Human Resources thinks they control me and they are mistaken. I would like the voter to reference New Hampshire RSA 98E:1, 1-a, 2, 3 and 4 on public employee freedom of expression. It states that a public employee shall have the full right to publicly discuss and give opinion on all matters, no person shall interfere in any way with the right of freedom of speech, full criticism or disclosure by a public employee. I contend that employees and elected officials who work in this building are discourteous to the public who need to enter this building to conduct business. Narcissists do not accept criticism. Narcissists do not practice self-reflection.
I then detailed the conflict with the men of the maintenance department. I spoke about speaking sternly about them constantly blocking the handicap space to the building, the maze from that entrance that leads the elderly and handicap to our office. I then spoke of identifying the problem, developing a solution, presenting it the Board of Commissioners and winning approval. The new spaces are in place and the same Maintenance Superintendent who cannot handle women in authority having the audacity to claim ownership of the project. Not reported.
All taxpayers should be concerned about the outrageous legal expense line. If the County Administrator or the Human Resource Director lack the intelligence to solve an issue they call their attorney at your expense. They have all told the overworked Grafton County Attorney to stay out of this, I have that documentation. Your tax dollars are being wasted on people who lack the ability to problem solve or even admit to dysfunction. One of the Commissioner's dogs viciously attacked me in the parking lot six years ago. He is an attorney. I was treated very poorly by Grafton County over this incident. That Commissioner holds a serious grudge against me for being truthful with his private insurance company over the impact of this attack.
I stated at the forum that I have been waiting for apologies for the events of six years ago, and they are never coming. I requested mediation 2 years ago after having dealt with the building tyranny here. They did not have the integrity to face their role in the dysfunction here and canceled mediation after incurring expenses. There is no other word to describe the management style of this Administration and Board of Commissioners. Tyrants and fake news own the day.
