Grafton County Register of Deeds - North Haverhill
Name: Kelley Monahan

Party: Democrat

Town of residence: Orford

Age: 64

Profession: Monahan, who was first elected Register of Deeds in 2011, is seeking her 8th term in office. Before entering public office, Monahan worked in the demanding world of creating and producing floral designs for specialty weddings. In the 80's she managed a large metropolitan flower shop on Peachtree Street in Atlanta Georgia, managing a diverse staff of 25 while importing massive amounts of flowers from all over the world. Corporate Coca Cola and Georgia Pacific were two of her corporate accounts. She initiated the integration of FTD's first Mercury Machine, a computerized system of sending flowers around the country, removing southern speaking ladies from the telephone and increasing efficiency. She started her own very successful wedding design businesses in Atlanta and Southern Connecticut.  She then dedicated her life to raising her three sons and opened an organic herb farm, gift shop and bookstore at her farm in Orford.

Priorities: My priority is to keep the office functioning at top efficiency. We broke a record in July of processing over two million dollars in shared revenue, followed the next two months by one and a half million each. Our five-year contract with our land records management vendor is up for renewal in 2025, and I look forward to negotiating another exceptional contract. I have spent the last four years planning and completing 3 major restoration projects while totally redesigning our vault for better protection and access. I am committed to increasing security for our offices and to providing safe access to the records by our rural citizens and seniors who lack internet or the commuter skills to access their records online. I serve our affiliate as liaison to NHLSA New Hampshire Land Surveyors Association and NH Planning Office of Strategic Initiatives; I also serve on our legislative committee. Grafton County is the second largest land mass in New Hampshire, and we are booming.
