Yesterday at 9:58 AM  Pre-Election Day Post 2 of 3:
If you are a Grafton County, NH voter, I respectfully suggest that you cast your vote for Register of Deeds in favor of re-electing the current holder of that position,
Kelley Jean Monahan.

Our registry is competently staffed and impeccably organized. Don’t believe me? Ask a local real estate professional—preferably one who is not deeply involved in local politics—if he or she is pleased by the services our registry provides. I would be surprised if the answer is “no.”
Kelley is a straight shooter who will clearly state her position on any issue, and do so without an eye toward pleasing 51% of the people who might hear her response. I have great confidence in her ability to exercise independent judgment. She understands the value of the public record, and has a sincere belief in governmental transparency.
The right person for an elected office is oftentimes someone who has already shown excellence in carrying out the duties assigned to it. For this election, and the office in question, Kelley is that person.
Lastly, I must note that this is my personal endorsement. I do not speak for my employer, any of the various local organizations in which I am involved, or other persons generally. All of that seems obvious and unnecessary. However, given the contentious tone of politics this election season and humanity’s endless ability to misconstrue, exaggerate, and create needless drama, I feel compelled to include this statement with the post.
